The vision!

As with a lot of the best ideas in the world this one was born in a fine british pub over a nice cool pint!

Its always been a vision for my mate Graham and I to build a vehicle which is something a bit different! The idea of a V8 Chevvy block sat in a Rascal van and other numerous stupendous ideas have come and gone over the years.

So, on a typically wet british evening whilst stood in the bar, the misfortune of a friendly Peugeot 205 driver had come to our attention. The owner at the time described how his 205 had been going so well when a large bang and lots had smoke had meant something had gone drastically wrong with the poor french chariot. On closer inspection the differential had shown its age and spilt it life blood of oil (along with much of its inards!) through the now gaping hole in the side of the casing.
A dispondant and down owner was now vulnerable to open offers on his once prize possession.

A visit the next day to view the car and an agreed price of £140 pounds for the sale saw the ownership of a new vehicle.

205 Donor

Now both Graham and myself have good knowledge of the Peugeot range having owned many a GTI over the years, so the idea of working on the 205 was second nature. Knowing most bolt sizes off by heart is a sad fact, but none the less it meant that having a vision of what was possible and what wasnt with the 205 was much easier.

Non what was going to be the transplanted engine into this light weight 205?

Only Time would tell.
